mechanism of action
Cross-linked sodium hyaluronate at a concentration of 25 mg/ml acts as a stable volumetric implant that fills the extracellular space and provides mechanical support for sagging tissues. The inclusion of lidocaine hydrochloride (0.3%) is intended to minimize patient discomfort during the procedure. The duration of the preparation in the tissue has been clinically observed for up to 18 months; however, this period is subject to individual patient characteristics, anatomical location, and injection technique.
