Belotero Lips Shape is a sterile, monophasic, viscoelastic hydrogel implant based on cross-linked sodium hyaluronate of non-animal origin. Manufactured using the patented CPM (Cohesive Polydensified Matrix) technology, it features variable cross-linking density, providing high cohesivity (integrity) and the plasticity required for modeling areas with high dynamic movement. The device contains lidocaine hydrochloride (0.3%) as an ancillary substance with a local anesthetic effect, improving patient tolerance during injections into the submucosal tissue.

The device is intended for administration via injection by authorized medical personnel to:

  • vermillion border volumetry: provide mechanical enhancement of lip volume and restore anatomical proportions

  • contour modeling: provide precise definition of the lip edges (Vermilion line)

  • perioral area correction: provide mechanical lifting of drooping mouth corners through structural support of soft tissues

  • tissue integration: ensure stable presence at the injection site while maintaining the natural mobility of the lips during mimetic expressions

mechanism of action

Sodium hyaluronate at a concentration of 25.5 mg/ml serves as a resorbable space-occupying implant. Thanks to the CPM technology, the gel integrates with the extracellular matrix in a manner that prevents product migration and the formation of palpable deposits (lumps). High resistance to mechanical forces guarantees the durability of the correction in areas of intense facial expression. The safety of the device is confirmed by CE certification and FDA approvals for the Belotero product line. The estimated duration of the mechanical effect is up to 10 months.
