TEOSYAL® Kiss Lidocaine is a sterile, apyrogenic, viscoelastic gel implant based on highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin. The device is characterized by a high elastic modulus and a specific rheological profile developed to provide resistance to the mechanical stresses of the soft tissues of the lips. The device is intended for administration via injection by authorized medical personnel to:
volumetric correction: provide mechanical volume enhancement of the vermillion border (lip augmentation)
structural modeling: restore and define the lip contour and Cupid's bow
correction of perioral wrinkles: provide mechanical filling of medium and deep wrinkles around the mouth (e.g., "smoker's lines")
tissue hydration: improve hydrodynamics and tension of the vermillion border through the physical binding of water molecules in the extracellular matrix
mechanism of action
Cross-linked sodium hyaluronate at a concentration of 25 mg/ml acts as a stable, space-occupying implant that provides immediate lifting and filling of soft tissue. The high degree of cross-linking ensures mechanical durability and resistance to enzymatic degradation in an area of high mobility. The inclusion of lidocaine hydrochloride (0.3%) ensures procedural comfort for the patient. The estimated duration of the mechanical effect is 9 to 12 months.
