TEOSYAL® RHA 1 is a sterile, apyrogenic, viscoelastic gel implant based on hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin. It utilizes a patented cross-linking technology that preserves long hyaluronic acid chains within a dynamic network. This allows the device to exhibit a high capacity for mechanical adaptation under the influence of facial expressions (stretching and compression). The formula includes lidocaine hydrochloride as an ancillary substance with a local anesthetic effect.

The device is intended for intradermal injection by authorized medical personnel to:
correct superficial wrinkles: provide mechanical filling of fine lines and wrinkles in areas of high mobility (face, neck, and neckline)
model delicate areas: correct wrinkles around the eyes ("crow's feet"), glabellar lines ("frown lines"), and fine perioral lines
reduce periorbital shadows: provide mechanical tissue lifting to reduce hollows under the eyes
restore hydro-balance: provide physical hydration of soft tissues by binding water molecules within the extracellular matrix
mechanism of action
Sodium hyaluronate at a concentration of 15 mg/ml (a mixture of cross-linked and non-cross-linked fractions) acts as a flexible implant that immediately fills skin depressions without restricting natural facial expressions. The unique polymer network ensures high resilience, preventing gel fragmentation under the continuous movement of mimetic muscles. The inclusion of lidocaine hydrochloride (0.3%) provides pain reduction during the procedure.
