STYLAGE® M is a sterile, apyrogenic, viscoelastic gel implant based on cross-linked hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin. The device utilizes IPN-like technology, which—through the interpenetration of polymer networks—ensures optimal cohesivity and elasticity of the gel. The formula contains mannitol, which acts as an antioxidant (ancillary substance), protecting the hyaluronic acid chains from premature oxidative degradation caused by free radicals during injection.
indications and intended use
The device is intended for administration via injection by authorized medical personnel to:
-
provide mechanical correction of medium to deep wrinkles and skin furrows
-
fill nasolabial folds and marionette lines
-
model the lip contour and provide mechanical volume enhancement of the vermillion border
-
correct moderate soft tissue volume deficits within the face
treatment areas
-
middle and lower face (folds, wrinkles)
-
vermillion border (lips)
-
dorsal surface of the nose (minor structural corrections)
mechanism of action
Cross-linked sodium hyaluronate at a concentration of 20 mg/ml acts as a stable filling implant that physically lifts depressed layers of the dermis. Due to its balanced viscoelasticity, the preparation provides effective correction of moderate wrinkles while maintaining natural tissue integration. The estimated duration of the preparation in the tissue is up to 12 months, depending on the anatomical location, injection technique, and the patient's individual physiological characteristics.
