MD-Hip is a sterile medical device in the form of an injectable solution, based on Type I collagen (tropocollagen). The preparation functions as a mechanical barrier, a stabilizer, and structural support for the connective tissue within the hip joint and surrounding soft structures. Due to its rheological properties, the product supports the restoration of the integrity of the extracellular matrix collagen fibers, counteracting the mechanical effects of aging and micro-injuries.

  • structural support: Type I tropocollagen provides a ready-made scaffold for damaged collagen fibers, mechanically strengthening the joint capsule, ligaments, and tendons

  • protective barrier: Creates a physical protective layer that limits friction and the impact of destructive factors within the joint

  • mineral stabilization: The addition of calcium phosphate plays a stabilizing role and supports connective tissue homeostasis adjacent to bony structures, which is crucial in cases of strain and degenerative changes

indications and intended use

The device is intended for administration via injection (intra-articular, periarticular, intramuscular, or intradermal) by authorized medical personnel to:

  • improve joint biomechanics: increase the range of motion of the hip joint through the mechanical stabilization of periarticular structures

  • support the ligamentous-tendon apparatus: strengthen the muscular and fascial tissue stabilizing the hip

  • mitigate the effects of overload: provide physical assistance in the stretching process of the iliosacral muscles and alleviate discomfort associated with postural defects

  • limit degeneration progression: provide mechanical protection of joint structures against degradation caused by age or environmental factors
